    this is using panasonic 18650's from the looks correct?


    My point is they call them Tesla batteries Im like huh.. they clearly say they are made by panasonic..

    Considering that unit... 250 watts.
    a 3400 mah 18650 has about 12 watts.
    So that would be about the same as 20 18650s.
    They can be had for a little less than $5 each.

    yeah 5 $ a piece plus all the circuitry and plastic container and plugs and etc. etc.

    I just wanted you to know that it's about $100 in batteries, so yeah, it's another $100 for the case other parts and putting it together.
    It might be worth it. @ $200.

    BUT $200 is the early bird special... before it is made.

    $350 is what they are looking to sell it for later. OUCH!!!
    For my money... I would really NEED something like that.
    250 watts will give you about 9-10 hours of TV,
    No air conditioning.

    How about a 1000 watt DJ system for a party?
    Not even 15 minutes.
    So one has to consider that they will be using it for, and how useful it will be.

    I'd add another couple of hundred and get one of those 1000 watt Honda Generators.
