hey guys! I've barely posted over the years ive been a member, but this is definitely a place I spend a good bit of time at. I recently started transitioning my "strange hobby" into a very small amount of side cash selling a couple creations to hunter, police and firefighter friends.
anyway, before I write a novel.. I figured I would share these with the only guys that understand my fascination lol. heres some beamshots of 3 C8s I just threw together.
left is a .80 amp c8 that I assume is an xp-E seeing that it has a tighter beam than one of its brothers (same order, supposed to be same light)
middle is an xp-g that I stole from a 2aa xp-g light and acetone/gas dedomed. its at 1.90 amps in the pic and I'll note that tint shift was much better than the xm-l!
right is a gas only dedomed xm-l @ 3.2A
all SMO.
all 3 were tail-tested seconds prior to the pic. in person, the xp-e falls behind in lux. the xp-g and xm-l seem to tango well. I'll also note the pics are taken from almost exactly 18 feet away with my phone, ISO and exposure as low as possible.
