Hi, I am looking for a drop-in pretty much an equivalent to Malkoff M60WLL. This is for the general, all-around purpose like camping, fishing, walking around the heighborhood, etc. I want a decent output of 60 - 80 lumen with a long run time, single mode, and warm tint - simple. I already have Malkoff but I want something else with the same spec from another manufacture. I've looked at Lumens Factory, Solarforce, Customlites, some others but all I see are higher output 300 lumins, 700 lumens, and so on. Could someone point me where I can find such drop-in? Malkoff's price range is alright with me in $50-ish or so, do not wanna pay $100 :)If it ain't exist one I am alright with putting together my own. I long do not have a solder so if you suggest a kit please tell the size of the solder I should get. TIA!

Malkoff M61LL 219 or whatever is currently left at Illumn.com. I certainly like mine.

For that driver mentioned, and with the remaining two 7135 chips, how much current can we expect the emitter to get?

Actually looking back he probably only wants one 7135 chip.

You can get that with this driver
Nanjg 101-AK-A1 7135*4 1.4A LED DRIVER

So leaving only 1 chip gives 350mA, I guess?
Sounds good. I'd like such a driver for a long running inexpensive dropin.

Edit
I want even lower, like 50-80mA.

You might consider the

Moonlight Special 17mm Driver

And have Richard program a single 35% mode. Trade off being cost

@redvalkyrie Thanks for the suggestion on M60LL 219 which uses Nichia NVSL219BT-V1 4000K 93CRI, it's neutral but I'd prefer warm. Besides, I am looking for a non-Malkoffdrop-in. Malkoff is all I have (except of the two original Surefire P60L) hence, like many of us, I would like to see what else is out there :)

@staticx57 thanks for the responses, excuse for being late to get back --kids, work and all :)Malkoff M60WLL is "The output is approximately 70 measured out the frontlumens. The current draw is only 140ma at 6 volts. The full output runtime isapproximately 10+ hours on two CR123 primary batteries with a nice long taper asvoltage drops."I like that output and runtime - this what I am looking for - around 8-10hours of runtime on two CR123 batteries, at about 70 lumens. I'd like the lightto have a useful light for a whole night. So if I leave a single 7135 on QLITE REV.A 7135*8 3.04A LED driver it givesaround 380mA. Nanjg AK-47A 7135*3 1.05A LED with one7135 would give 350mA. Both of them would be too high. Then Moonlight Special 17mm Driver can be programed at single mode, should it beat 5% to get 150mA? It's spec says *Default Current: 3A (1x350mA & 7x380mA 7135chips).

Did not realize you would like for 2X CR123. Thought you would aim for an 16650 or 18650. None of those drivers are suitable for 2X CA123 or 2X RCR123A, you would need a buck driver to step the voltage down to the LED's ~3V working voltage.
But to directly answer your question you need approximately 150mah across the LED @ 3V to be in the range of lumens you are looking for.

Ahh...I see. I do like my warms as well. If you have an interesting Malkoff you want to get rid of to help with the new purchase feel free to let me know.

@statix57 I see only two buck drivers that fits me by size and voltage: 17mm 1.5A Buck Driver - 2.7V - 14V - 1 Mode, and LD-4B 2.4A 17mm Buck Driver 3V-16V. Do you know if it's possible to lower them to 150 mah?

I see kaidomain also has bunch of drivers, the trick is to find the one that I need. I got it how it goes - I just need those three parts. Thanks for your help!
