Low 5mm LED prices

While browsing for 5mm LED's, I found a website which has the lowest price on white (and some other colors) 5mm LED's that I've seen so far. 6000mcd for $0.60, 8000mcd for $0.75 and 12000mcd for $0.90. Blue 4000mcd for $0.45. Beam degree is 20° for the whites, 30° for the blue.

It's a nice site and has good policies and prices for people wanting to buy just a few led's. But if you want to buy in quantity you can get lower prices elsewhere. See for example www.besthongkong.com .

Holy canoly, talking about low prices. 100pcs White 8000/10000mcd LED's for $24.53! Some really good deals on that site. Why hasn't this site been mentioned before? Anyway Paul, do you happen to know what brand those LED's are?

I have used LS Diode and have never had a problem. The best part for me is the reasonable (read cheap) shipping.

Velcro, I'm not sure what brand they are, but the owner of the site says that they are made in china. My own observations shows that they (white 5mms) don't have as much side spill as my arc AAA, when driven at 40ma, but the AAA has a reflector. Also the beam is rather smooth and even, unlike my splotchy Arc AAA. Maybe a hint of blue, that's all.
