Cree XM-L: How much lower lumens are Lattice Bright knockoffs?

Cree spec sheet says the XM-L is about 1000 lumens, which probably means 900 lumens in the real world.

I found a 18650 'xm-L T6' flashlight for $4 on ebay. yeah, theres a 50% chance it's a Q5 (200 lumens).
the listing shows the emitter for a T6 but also has a pic of a Q5 light pattern.
even if it is a T6, it's probably a Lattice Bright knockoff and not a Cree.

How much lower in lumens are LBs than a Cree for the same emitter (ie: XM-L T6)?

If you look in the datasheet a T6 is far away from 1000 Lumen

you get what you pay for, this lamp is crap even if there is a old XML inside, often they sell you way less efficient old stock XML T2 bins with reduced current bcs of heat issues
so you end up in less lumens like an up to date Cree XP-G2 S4 with 480 lumens

is it so hard to pay 11$ for way better host with a geniue XM-L2 U2-1A

my mind set is that I can get 3 of these $4 lights vs 1 $11 light because I lose/break flashlights at least once a year.
(I work in construction, and have lost 1 and broken 1 so far this year.)

but if these knockoffs are only 50% lumens of a real cree, then it's not worth it.
will probably buy that $11 S2+.
btw, that $11 version is a XM-L, not XM-L2.

XML U2 is bright of course XM-L2 U2 is a bit better

And you can choose which LED bin and color you want

and the better the quality of the light the harder is it to break it.

Because they are on the dark side, eh?

As Lexl says, "you get what you pay for." It's not just the LED either. It's a also the driver. Is it efficient? Is there actually some decent electronics. That plays a bigger part in light output on cheap lights. For $4 I seriously doubt it. I've only bought one time on Ebay for a Chinese no name light that was cheap, cheap. I ended up throwing them away. I was too embarrassed to even gift them.
