5.11 Tactical Flashlights...Any Good?

Hey everyone!

I am really intrigued by some of the designs of 5.11 flashlights. It seems like they have a pretty wide variety and seem to have some pretty useful features.

Can anyone offer any first hand experience as to how they perform and hold up in the long run? I would use the light for general EDC and sometimes as a backup duty light.

A workmate of mine used one as his regular duty/belt light. It sucked cells flat ridiculously fast (was a 1 x cr123 model). For the same prices (here in Australia) I can buy Surefire, which is my preference in that price range.

I've owned a few and there always seems to be a similarly configured (aa,aaa,cr123) light with better run time and more output for less money.

compared to surefire ,5.11 flashlights are too expensive !
I like 5.11 shoes and clothes ,but not the flashlight !
