Mine has just hit the country but is not here just yet.
Sure it can use Eneloop or any rechargeable 1.5v battery but no if you stick Lithium rechargeables in it the smoke should come out.

You do understand that the light will run on 6v with standard voltage batteries but much more than that with batteries that are more than twice the voltage,right?

Also I simply googled and found reviews and opinions before ordering mine.

According to the manual it will take NiMH rechargeables, but not lithium-ion rechargeables.

For the magazine pouch you mentioned in the other thread, it sounds like it should be a pretty close fit, but keep in mind that while the body of the flashlight is flat, the head is round, and listed by Nitecore at 1.34" in diameter. If that works for how you want to carry it, it looks like a really good light. It will definitely outperform the Nitecore Tip I recommended in the other thread.
