Olight just released the third version of the S10R. Smaller, brighter and with a new SST-40 led with a max of 600 lumens.

So the obvious question seems to be: how does this (practically speaking) compare to/differentiate from the S1R?

S10 series has a traditional reflector i.e. hotspot and spill. S1 has the TIR optic with a big even hotspot and no spill to speak of.

Does anyone know if this will be available in a neutral white option.

Here's some data from the new Luminus SST-40 LED on the S10R III.

That's one of the biggest shift in color temperature between the hotspot and spill I've seen, 5900 vs. 9300 K. Doesn't look quite so bad in real life though, just strong cool purple spill. There is some artifacting in the middle of the beam, a kind of mini donut hole. Don't have a good picture of that yet. edit: a piece of d-c-fix (sand 346-0211) fixed that right up
