This thread is to update members on an old problem of mine - finding a bezel-down clip for the Surefire E2D. Well - found it and it's awesome. Take the clip off of a Streamlight 1L and it fits perfectly. This thing isn't going anywhere, it's super snug.

I'm thinking you can attach it to the tailcap, as far up as it would go?
That would allow deeper pocket carry. No worries on interfering with battery changes as they load from the head side anyway.

Me too, hate to break it so I reinforced the break point line with a 2mm thick layer of steel epoxy.

Whoa, Does your steel epoxy method work? I'd love to see a pic of that.

I have had really bad experience with the stock clip, hence this thread. They tend to break way too easily especially for a SF product. I was using an Malkoff MDC body up until recently (which has an OUTSTANDING clip) when the slippery-ness of that tube finally got to me. I wish I could add knurling to that thing. This new E2D setup with the Streamlight clip seems to be the ticket for me.

The older Surefire clips that had a U-bend were better but can't find a source for those. Plus they are only bezel-up.
