Surefire P3X Design Change

From what I can tell this happened a year or two ago. The body changed from a smooth surface with finger notches, to a crosshatch pattern for better grip. What else changed? LED upgrade? Beam pattern? I can't find anything. I'm curious if this body style is the only change.

LED on the P2X was changed to XML2 and output bumped to 600 lumens, so maybe the P3X has XML2 now as well. Still rated 1000 lumen though, so probably better runtime to go with the new body design.

My question is specific to the P3X Fury. This flashlight was originally released in 2013. It was changed just a year or two ago, but details on the change are difficult to find. I'm thinking it was just the body and the rest of the specs are the same.
