6V to LSHP? if I make 2X 123 or 2X CR2 twisty

Hi all,

I'm thinking of making a 2x 123 or 2x CR2 twisty for my LSHP. Is 6 volts too much for a stock LS?

The plan is to take a AA twisty, carefully lathe the inside diameter to CR2 diameter since 2X CR2 is almost the same length as single AA.

If I understand correctly the LSHP is current regulated and first run is voltage regulated. What voltage range will these two lights tolerate?

Thanks,
CY

The Arc LSH-P circuit is not desinged for 6V. It will probably fry the circuit.

Thanks, what about the 1st run? how much voltage will it tolerate?

Both old and new ARC circuts are boost circuits designed for input voltage below the Vf of the LED, about 3.5 volts for the stock 1 watt emitter. Anything much above that risks blowing the circut.
