Yes, and the LED tint may also be a bit green on some at the lower levels.

The price is getting down to where I like it a lot more. If it weren't for that pesky missing 2AA pack, I'd probably be tempted to pull the trigger on one of these. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Man, this is getting tempting. I stayed away from the previous offer of seconds because I felt that the Arc4 is a radically new product for Arc and as such might not yet have all the bugs worked out, so I wanted a warranty. But what's there to really go wrong.
Peter, do these seconds have the current firmware? Are they eligible for $20.00 upgrades in the future? I presume they don't get a free upgrade like the firsts do.

I dont have a problem with LS seconds,,,, cuz mostly its cosmetic.
But, I am scared to get a second Arc4,, cuz of output issues, or running to much current.

jtice, the LS seconds generally had LED's that weren't up to the standards needed for a first. I had two of them and they were perfectly useable, but both had noticable tint issues, one of them bordering on severe. Brightness was fine on both. I thought of modding one of them with a better led but never got around to it. On the Arc4 seconds, that might be much more difficult.

The Arc4,,, hmm have to get mine first, donno, might be moddable. As long as the circuit was still in good working order, should be fine.
Just seems alot more than tint, or cosmetic can be wrong with an Arc4 vs. an LS.

If the circuit and led can be removed, you can put other less sophisticated guts and have a light with a better reflector and a pocket clip.

You can't remove the circuit or LED. Period. No. Just stop thinking about it right now. It's not possible.
The head is potted in epoxy, and so are all the guts inside of it. You really can't get in there. Sorry guys...

But in my case it's a second. At that price, it takes a stronger flashaholic than me to resist! And they promised me one with the nice restful green tint too.
