Hiya Friends,

New acquisition here, my first Muyshondt light ever. Prior owner said it was an Aeon, but I'm not so sure. Also , I have zero clue as to the emitter in this one.

So I'm asking the Muyshondt veterans here, what do I have exactly?

Anything you can tell me about this light would be sweet,

Thanks everyone

Looks like an Ion to me from the business end picture. Is it super floody rather than a hotspot/spill like from a traditional reflector?

 HI paul,

yes, very floody beam, and yes, AluminaBronze. Ive been leaning towards ION.

can anyone ID the emittter? Also take a look at the colar on the underside of the head. Does it look broken/missing a piece? or is that how they all look?

After looking more closely. And shining at a white wall @ 2 feet away, there is a noticable hot spot and spill beam, like from a traditional reflector.

Hope this helps

When you look at the lens, is it a shiny metallic normal reflector (Aeon) or an unusual optic (Ion)?

Then it might be an Aeon after all. I wonder if he did any Aeons with SSC P4 emitters. It kinda sorta looks like a P4.

I'm thinking the LED is an XR-E. It looks like I see the XR-E ring at the bottom of the reflector on the right side.

All of you have such a short collective memory. ;)

This is a CR2 Ion in aluminum bronze from 2006. It's the first flashlight to ever use a Cree XLamp LED in the world, equipped with the floody XL7090 behind a conical reflector and Ultra-Clear glass lens.

Well I had the Ion part right, but the guts look different from the Ion I had. ;)

AH!! Mystery solved by the man himself. Thanks Enrique for popping in, and refreshing our memories :poke:
Now I know what to call it, when i show it.

BTW Enrique, this little Gem of a light needs a new foam ring for the head. the original is almost non existant.

Arch- Nice light you got, Hardcoat?
