Hello,
Years ago I acquired the mil (but not the IR one) version of the SL Sidewinder (2xAA, with a TIR lens, by the way), but something went wrong (excessive power consumpption) and I had to return it (I begged them to return me the TIR lens, and send me a ramp-up model, to no avail); I received a replacement SideWinder , but it appeared to be the "cilvil" (ramp down) version (and with a mirror system, which is indeed a bit lighter).
Is there a way to somehow invert from ramp down to ramp up? is there any chance that there is some micro switch or a jumper that can be tweaked to achieve this?
I find it extremely irritating that I have to dim a light, usually because I want to reduce energy consumption, and also find a ramp-up a better option than a ramp-down (never understood why SL made this disctinction, as if a ramp-up mode should be restricted to military personnel, makes no sense to me).
