Greetings,

I have a light that uses the bi-pin (I think that is what its' called) bulb and three cell Ni-Cd rechargeables. Anyone knows a source for these? I'm also planning on driving them with rechargeable lithium-ions and would prefer higher amp units. (i.e. 1 amp)

I hope this is the right forum to ask this question. THANKS in advance for any info.

Blessings,
Moses

Sounds like a Scorpion/Stinger bulb ought to do the job.

Re: Source of Bi-pin bulb for 3 cell rechargeables

Moses,

I just posted a place keeper for some bulbs on the next Carley group buy. I believe the Carley 724 (1.50 amps) or Carley 1047 (1.70 amps) would work for you. Carley also has the 1003, which runs at 0.76 amps, and the 723, which runs at 1.20 amps. These are all Xenon bulbs.

I am putting mine in a Nuwai light with a Pila Li-Ion 168a. The light requires bulbs with long pins. I found that the Scorpion bulb (~5v) had short leads which prohibited its use. My guess is that the Stinger bulb (3.7v), which has the voltage you and I want, also has pins too short.

The Carley "pins" are actually thick wires which the user can cut to desired length.
