MicroBlueBear Revival!
Today I've got a bit of an older one.
Shortly after the release of the xhp70 in late 2014, acebeam tossed one in there k60 about mid way through 2015! Though it's two years later, we haven't seen any updates for higher power LEDs.
Based on that I am going to say that this is still relevant and a very good flashlight in 2017. Acebeam did an absolutely phenomenal job with the k60 and it is still one of my favorite lights. The light comes in three different colors. I received the black one that I am reviewing.

The company:
Acebeam, formerly know as supbeam, and before that, microbluebear! MBB was never really a hit and wasn't considered high quality, nor was supbeam. When they changed their name to acebeam it was either live up to the name "ACE" or fail again and forever be know as failbeam!
Well... they didn't fail... Acebeam came in strong and brought (and is bringing) quality lights to the table of all kinds, at reasonable prices. Their number one is customer support (which I can personally speak from) and they have turned into one of the top manufacturers. Personally in my top 5!

Disclaimer- please excuse the dust, dirt, dings, and scufs on any of my flashlights in reviews. This one has been in use for the past couple of years. I like to give a tried and true review where I have used the light in my normal day to day life and work. I work in construction and as much as I love every flashlight… it is also a tool.

Unboxing:

The box that the Acebeam k60 comes in is made of a high quality cardboard. Much harder and stiffer than regular cardboard, with a plastic carrying handle.

Opening up the box you are greeted with a user manual and a warranty card.

And finally On to the flashlight:

Additional positions on the mode ring include standby (which draws a very small amount of current so is not recommended to use as the official on off switch) and a multi frequency strobe.

Beam profile/beamshots:

As you can see the hotspot is a very large part of the beam. At the max of 700meters the hotspot is very big.

And the main attraction (at least what I head to first in every review) the beamshots.

Pros and Cons:

Pros

-Excellent beam

-Very usable hotspot

-Great runtimes

-Tons of sinking resulting in good runtimes on higher levels

-Uses rechargeable batteries

-Water resistant ipx8

-Drop resistance to 1.2m

-Well spaced usable modes

-5 year warranty

-Gourges

-Very bright!

Cons

-on cold evenings I find the lense gets a slight film of fog on the inside of the lense(nothing substantial, it would not affect output much)

-takes an extra second to get it out of the holster if you run it gets stuck down further(nice holster but I think I would prefer if it was a little stiffer

Conclusion:

I have absolutely loved my time so far with the Acebeam k60 and look forward to many more years with it and other acebeam products.

I can speak personally from their customer service as when I first received the product it had a faulty driver. I contacted my supplier and they contacted acebeam. Everything was solved very quickly and smoothly. I received the replacement part in a few short days and I was on my way.

This thing still blows me away everytime. Everyone I hand it to or turn it on in front of is like waaaht only 1 led? 5000lumens?

Bottom line I would say this is a must have.. oneday.. for everyone!

Thanks for reading, hope you enjoyed!

I love Acebeam! I have and love the Acebeam K70vn and EC50vn and X65Vn! I love being first on a new topic.

I love not full quoting lengthy posts. I am kind of sort of eh on Poll topics.

I love review topics. I have thought very hard and very long about getting the K60, based on ven's killer beamshots and glowing recommendations, but not yet. Maybe soon!

Thank you for your informative review!

Love my K60 and K70, and while they may be eclipsed by another excellent manafacturers throw and flood options, they still give a darn good account of themselves in most all situations. As far as the K60 goes, for a SINGLE emitter hipo light, there aren't many other FACTORY STANDARD lights that come close.
Xt3ko9b.jpg

Lighting for this shot was provided by Jetbeam DDR30GT and ceiling bounce.

Actually, come to think of it, i would not mind welcoming a T20 into the house either. A good thrower with a beautiful neutral to warm tint. Nice.

Harro,
You say there aren't many single emitter factory standard lights that come close to the k60, this is for sure!. I am unaware of any that surpass its sheer lumens. Anyone know of any?

Love Acebeam yes !

I started with the purchase of my first Acebeam unit, the K70. Love it for its Range, Runtime and build. This is a fantastic light.
Feature loved most on Acebeams products = magnetic ring control, for it is easy to switch up / down and not have to cycle trough the entire cycle to select brightness levels.

Next, I bought another fantastic light, the K40M with my favourite MT-G2 emitter. This has a very nice Tint and a flood-thrower beam. IMO this nicely compliments my K70.

Other Acebeams =
H10 MT-G2 Neutral White 5k - a superb Headlamp, love the MT-G2 Tint especially in Neutral white 5k tint, Turbo press-n-hold can produce insane 2000 lumens from a Headlamp.
H20 XPL-HI Warm White 4k - a very nice Headlamp, Tint is warm ! big beam with only 1600cd

Love Acebeam indeed.
Look forward to their upcoming high quality launches.

Proceed5, indeed the magnetic control rings are something all manufacturers should notice and copy! My favourite UI!

The k40m! Good choice! I love that mtg2. Thinking about the h20 in the near future myself[emoji106]

Hello, it's been several days that I read your forums, on tests the
Flashlight :)
And finally, this ACEBeam K60 lamp pleases me :)
And I want to know if it is battery: Samsung INR18650-35E 3450mAh - 10A, aresuitable for this
Flashlight where it is absolutely necessary totake AceBeam 20A batteries (ARC18650H-250A)
I am looking for a torch, which has an important range (+ 500meters)
I do not know if this lamp is still relevant, or better since then?
I saw that there is torch which lights up more (but whose powerdrops quickly 5 minutes after the lighting)!
And moreover it lamp often lights up only at 300/350 meters!
If you know a better product for about the same price (- $ 200)?
Thanks in advance, for your advice :)
Pascal
