I am working on an outdoor sculpture display that I hope to have shoot a beam of light into the sky. I have thought about getting reasonable power consumption LED spotlight / searchlights and surrounding the interior of the square structure below. The structure is a 30' square.
I hope to have a visible glow that comes out of the interior of the structure that extends upward. I do not expect to be able to get a powerful beam as shown in the illustration, but I hope to have a glow that is noticeable above the structure even in a well illuminated part of a city. If I put 20-30 LED spots pointing up on each side would that be noticeable? This would be powered by mains supply eventually so I would have to modify the power-supply to flashlights. Hopefully I can find wired devices.
Any advice of which direction to go with planning and research is greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.
