this light is a bargain for the price, size, and throw
mine tested 116kcd, quite a bit over specs
620 meters to tower
its amazing this thing put that amount of light on it
couldn't be happier with this little pocket thrower:thumbsup:

control shot at 70mm

116kcd. At 620 meters, that translates to 0.3 lux on target, on paper. The tower is partially lit in the control shot, but it still looks quite a bit brighter in the beam shot than one would expect from the addition of a mere 0.3 lux. Was the target as bright to your eyes as it appears in the beam shot? If so, either the tower is closer or 116kcd is low, which is hard to believe given the size of the light's head, emitter, and output.

Don't forget that the tower is a shiny white reflective surface. 0.3 lux is going to look a lot brighter reflecting from a surface like that than from something like a tree or bushes.

I've got one on order which if it looks as good as it seems will replace my TM16 and TM16GT. Anyone interested in either one of the two? PM me.

That's certainly a possibility.
