In my opinion, I like the Turtlelite 2 light best for a tent light because it's got a cool retractable ring in the but of the light that makes it perfect for hanging from a tent ceiling and it is bright enough to light up a tent nicely. Its reflector is designed to throw light in a wide area vs. a spot beam like you find on a lot of lights. Also to consider is the run-time for this light is 2 and a half days so you should have no problem using just one set of 4 AA batteries on a camping trip. I personally like to use rechargeable NiMh batteries on a camping trip because you don't have to blow $$ on alkalines and you don't have to worry about the batteries running down on their own (which is the big weakness of NiMh batteries) on just a few day camping trip.
