Charging a 14500 with my Nitecore MH20GT

So, I got me a couple "14500 to 18650" adapters. I like to keep them handy 'just in case', because I have plenty of 14500 cells and only one (!) 18650 (at this time, anyway).
The Nitecore MH20GT features USB charging, which I never even use. Then why would I want to use it for charging 14500 batteries? The short answer is: I would never want to but I might have to. And let's leave it at that.

So, is it doable? I assume that the unit's internal 'charger' knows to 'stop charging' once the voltage reaches the 4.2V mark or something like that. If so, charging my Fenix 800 mAh, 14500 cells should not be a problem. I mean, I could just try it but I thought I'd ask here first.

*I have a dedicated charger which I use for charging all my batteries, including the 14500's. I would consider charging them with the MH20GT only in a scenario where there would be no other way of doing so.

Tell me your thoughts on this.

Thanks!

Only the charging current matters since the circuitry doesn't know which battery size it is charging. The MH20 and MH20GT only charge at 0.5 amps so it's fine for a 14500.

That's what I thought too. That current is kinda on the low side and that's one of the reasons I take out the 18650 to be charged in a "proper" charger. Should be totally fine for a 14500 cell though. So, thanks! I'll probably try charging me a 14500 with that flashlight today.
