LED and driver options for a Red thrower?

I'm interested in a red thrower. Probably 26650 based. With the lower forward voltage either a buck or lower voltage chemistry might be a good idea. Probably looking at a 26650 host because I want the outer tube diameter to me no less than 1" and no more than 34mm.

The Brinyte B158 zoomable uses a 18650 battery. Can be bought with 3 mode red XP-E (brass pill). Easy to mod, using Noctigon 16mm red XP-E2 and 17mm driver with six 7135 chips (2.2 amp regulated). Nice thrower.
