Hi all.
I'm new to the forum, lurked a bit but registered to ask this question.
I work in a fairly large fire service in South Africa and the other day my Platoon Commander and I found this torch in a store room. It seems to be quite old.

The batteries are dead as a doorknob and the bulb assembly is loose.
At first I wanted to just get the thing working again but the idea of modding it into a more powerful LED light is very appealing, I have no idea if that would even be possible.
The brandname visible above the Serial Nr seems to say Spacelite, I tried a google of that plus phrases such as flashlights etc, but all I found was a company selling LED floodlamps.
Anyone have any idea if it would be possible to modify/fix this to get it into a useful shape? We'd love to be able to use it as a primary light for our shift, we have a Pelican RALS for area lighting and are issued LED flashlights but nothing to fill the middle ground.
Thank you!
