What is a good max heat temp for tailstanding lantern use with a diffuser?

I've picked up a few diffusers for some of my non-temp regulated lights. I can monitor them with a non-contact IR thermometer.
I plan to figure out what is the maximum mode I can safely use as a lantern.

Would it be 130C, 140C?

LiIon batteries? No more than 60°C or you're venturing into the :poof: danger zone. :poof: ;-)

Just below the temperature where the particular plastic/polymer begins to melt, or get soft and deform.

I went back and looked at the thermal regulation of many ThruNite lights and it is 160F which is 71C. I was thinking the graphs were in Centigrade. That's head temp not battery. I'll probably use 60-70C as a ballpark figure.
