Just ordered one 219c version. Was uninterested in this light at first since I'm not particularly fond of L-shaped lights, and it's somewhat large for a 1 X AAA light. After seeing several reviews of the E02 however, I realized that the efficiency is good and regulation very flat, plus where else could I get a heavily driven small Nichia 219c EDC light (an emitter I've been wanting to try) w/a tail magnet, and electronic switch (which I've come to favor over clicky's)...all for just under $20?! If this is as good as the several Manker E11's I currently own...I'll be happy.

Excellent! Thanks. I've been waiting patiently (or not so patiently) for someone to build this light. I'll likely be ordering 4 of the Nichia 219C version - 1 for me and 1 each for other working men in my family.

One change that I would like is to have the option for a non-shiny pocket clip, but it won't stop me from ordering some ASAP. Non-shiny is less conspicuous for EDC. I carry lights clipped inside the pocket, so the clip shows outside of the pocket. I don't trust removable clips enough to clip them to the outside of a pocket or to the belt, since I lost a nice light by carrying it that way and the light got separated from the clip. I will use this right angle light clipped to the belt, shirt pocket, jacket pocket or between buttons on the shirt.

If these were available locally, I'd already have one or more.

Thanks again for offering a AAA light in this format. Well done.

I keep thinking this is an AA light. Seems large for an AAA, but for the price I may still give it a try. Just something different and anything with a Nichia gets me thinking.

This is the first electronic switch lockout I have seen where you don't just reverse the click sequence. And instead of the complex click sequence, maybe it should just be "for lockout, loosen tail cap". To reverse, "screw tail cap in all the way....."

Always wanted Zebralight to make an AAA light but that looks like it will not happen. Step in Manker and this looks to be a very exciting light. Have a grey one ordered in Nichia 219C and may pick up a red one as well. Can't beat that price for the options available. Would be really sweet if li-ion support was added. ;)

What is the color temperature and CRI of this particular Nichia 219C?
Thanks

From my sample

CCT: 3760 K
CRI(Ra): 91-94 (depending on brightness)
CRI(R9): 60-73 (depending on brightness)
TM-30-15 Rf: 87-88
TM-30-15 Rg: 95-96
Duv: 0.0020-0.0052 (depending on brightness, a bit on the greenish side but acceptable)

Generally worst results on high, best on mid.

6/12/17: Just recvd' the E02 today and it won't turn on. Sigh! I was anxious to see what a 219c looked like.

I like the few Manker lights I have owned (of the ones that work), and think they're an innovative company, but this is my 2nd Manker that failed. Also my 1st E11 failed after a month. Really need to step up their QC game! Now to wait weeks more for the
eBay exchange dance.:sigh:

I have that same light. The tail cap has to be tight for it to work. Also if it is locked out, removing or loosening the tail cap will not work. Check and see if it is possibly locked out. Click, double click, then triple click.

Thx for your suggestions, tried all (even cleaned all terminals w/alcohol) but nothing.

Thanks Maukka! Presumably that tells us it's PWM and the LED current is lower on high?

To get the mode naming correct as per Manker's specs, there's 25 kHz flicker on moon (not quite full on PWM as the amplitude of the flicker is about 50% FS), 100 kHz triangle wave on low (33% FS), but the output is perfectly stable on high and turbo (or mid and high as I had them named).
