Terralux also has the 2 AA offering that regulated. But if the SL Luxeon Junior is regulated and comes out around the same time...

Looks neat - I wonder how they handle the heat?
(And can it handle Lithium batteries?)

yeah, isnt it sweet?

i am so thrilled by luxeons, that i am trying to make sure all in my family have one.
i firmly believe that those in my family really dont need more than a luxeon has to offer.
if they do need more, i always recommend a tec-40.

now that lambda is making a very inexpensive pill, my goal may be more attainable (affordable).

by the way...i would love to try one of lambda's pills.
anyone tried one?

A very strange dark place
All kinds of goodies for aught-four! The most interesting to me are the TerraLUX Minimax 1AA, Inova XO/T3, Streamlight Jr and Pelican lights for "off the shelf" lights.
It is easy to get excited by $150 and up lights, but for general use... the more reasonable lights will do the trick.

No problem Britt - what are "friends" for? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

(Of course out of that entire list, I think only one can stand in candle mode. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif)

These new lights are nothing new to the mod collectors, but to those of us who are not able to drop 100+ bucks on a light, they are a blessing.

Pelican 3c lux star (regulated)
UK 4aa lux star (regulated)
Streamlight 2aa lux star (regulated)
Infinity 1aa lux star (regulated)

That's a lux star light to cover any possible carry mode or emergency situation.

Now adding:

Gerber LX1.0
Gerber LX3.0
Are we now up to 21? Yee-Haw!

(Of course, probally only one or two of them will function in candle mode.
Must be a very expensive option to produce?)

SureFireRocks:

Thanks for the additions. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbsup.gif
Look like nice lights, if a bit overpriced.

I gotta wonder how confusing product descriptions get up - AND STAY UP - on the internet.
Maybe I'll have to post that question in the CAFE.

Has anyone mentioned the Superlight II by Lambda and ARC mania.

I have just bought the 5 watt version (it's on it's way!):
SF-2 with a 5 watt LS from bin#X4T driven by a BB750 on two CR123 batteries (using a reflector - instead of an optic)! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/buttrock.gif

How to beat a 2AA (NiMH) driving LIII (TWOK) at regulated full 1A with 1 hr runtime?

That's Lambda Illuminator III. I can't wait to see it:) The best of all, it was built on the best 2AA donor, IMHO.

I wonder why nobody make tailswitch like the Brinkmann Legend 2AA. It is the only tailswitch that has all the following features:

1) clickable
2) Lockable with a click sound (no more 1/2 or 1/4 turn by feel and test)
3) Standable (candle mode)

This light has been around for years and nobody make similiar switch. May be it was patented so nobody could make it?

Alan
