EDITED: The review is here.

We've heard a lot about the (now) mythical Welch-Allyn 01160 bulb and MAG Charger combo. It's truly one bright hand-held flashlight set-up. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbsup.gif

There's another WA bulb, the 01111 which produces comparable results and better run times.

The WA01160 is good for ~550 lumens at ~50 minutes continuous run time on Powerstream 1/2Ds.
The WA01111 is good for ~450 lumens at ~70 minutes continuous run time on Powerstream 1/2Ds.

Check out the Review Section, tomorrow, for my WA 01160 vs. WA01111.

Bottom line: your eyes will not see the difference (at least not discernible) and you get more run time.

Can't wait to see your data. I bought 5 01111's during the last group buy just in case.

WA01160 is a 5 volt bulb, while 01111 is a 6 volt bulb. WA01160 is probably over driven somewhat in 6 volt lights, while 01111 is right at specs. Am I right?

Wow! 70 minutes! That's much better!

If the 01111 is a 6V bulb would its output be yellowish running on 6V provided by the standard batt pack?
