    Default GoingGear.com - The long-awaited Olight X7R Marauder: 12,000 Lumens, USB Type-C

We’ve probably gotten more questions about when Olight was going to release the X7R than any other flashlight. For a long time, we didn’t have an answer, but now we do. And that answer is now! The Olight X7R Marauder is currently available for pre-order on our site and should begin shipping to customers mid to late August.

We’ve had a few opportunities to play with the light, both at SHOT Show 2017 and while in China for the Olight’s 10th anniversary, and the X7R is an instant favorite. With a 12,000 lumen output from 3 CREE XHP70 LEDs, you won’t be wanting for lumens. The USB Type-C charging, and innovative water-resistant charging port, means the X7R will charge up to three times faster than traditional micro USB charging while remaining fully sealed while in use. Another innovative feature of the X7R is the proximity output sensor. The X7R can actually gauge the distance that the beam is traveling, and dim automatically when you’re using the light at close proximity prevent temporary blinding and permanent eye damage. Needless to say, the Olight X7R Marauder is sure to be a hit, and we cannot wait to see them come through the door.

Adding a "VN" to the X7 only costs $56 more than adding an "R"...

Seems so. I can't remove the tailcap or the head on mine. At least the charging is quite fast, takes 3.5 hours from empty to full.

    Batteries are glued inside.
