Re: SureFire L4 Luxeon Star

It reminds me of that classic Star Trek episode with the Doomsday Machine.

Woo Hoo, that is a fantastic picture. Looks like you are under the water and looking up at an alien craft hitting the surface and on the way down at you. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/bowdown.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/buttrock.gif

Re: SureFire L4 Luxeon Star

Thanks, guys. I took this photo through various filters and the fastest possible shutter speed to be able to see the detail. Without these filters, it would have been too bright to shoot.

For anyone who wants to see something similar with thier L4,
Shine it through a CD and you get a similar view of your Luxeon V.

Wow, Never thought to use a CD for a filter but it works. Pink Floyd never looked so good.

Re: SureFire L4 Luxeon Star

I have a pair of "eclipse glasses" that I got in late 2002, and they work well too. But an Aldo Nova or Pink Floyd or Anthrax or ELO CD would work too. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I've been meaning to post mine for months, so here she be for comparison. Didn't need any filters, I just shot it when the batteries started giving up. As you can see, it's also on the mildly greenish side.

It's also BIGGER than I thought, so here's a link instead:
