So I'd like to replace the crappy magnetic lights I have around the house with standard 1 inch flashlights that take my 18650 batteries. I have a Lowes branded Kobalt Work Light on the side of my refrigerator and a Rayovac Roughneck Flex 360 in the pantry stuck to a small sheet metal panel I attached to the side of a cabinet for this purpose. Picking out the flashlights is no problem but what I'd like to have is some sort of removable mount that can go on the 1 inch tube of a standard SF 6P or a Malkoff MD2 or any number of clones (Solarforce L2, whatever) withe a powerful enough magnet to go in these spots around my house. Does someone make this item? Or has someone DIY'd their own?

i love the idea of this for something more low profile, mounting a magnet flush-ish to the body of the light. Then you could use another magnet and easily/expediently mount a light to the bill of a baseball cap.

anyone have any other magnetic mount options?
