Does anyone know how to disassemble the Maglite ML25LT LED C-Cell Flashlight?
Looks like it takes some sort of spanner wrench/tool up from the bottom to spin out the plastic switch assembly but I'm not sure.
Has anyone figured these out yet?

I just spent two day's searching all over the net looking, I give up.

Thanks for any info.

Wish I saw that before I took mine apart a couple weeks ago. I had to bash the guts out of it. Are you looking to replace the led or mod?

Thanks for the info.
I'm using the body for a solvent trap for gunsmithing so I just need the tube itself.

Does disassembling in this manner render the removed led and switch inoperable?

If you use a socket to bang it out, it'll go back in the opposite way.

When I separated the two big portions with a screwdriver it went back together easily. Just press them back together.

The LED is pushed into the metal half and kinda glued in via melted plastic that forms a sort of hook on the opposite side of it. The plastic can be trimmed away with a dremel or sand paper. But when reassembling something needs to be added to ensure the LED pill doesn't pop out if the light is dropped. It's a snug enough fit for regular use, but the sorta hooks make it drop friendly.

I used a 12 inch extension attached to the socket to drive it back in one I took apart and it worked fine.
