I have a sauna that is fired by a wood stove and has no power. I have tried several methods to bring a little light inside the sauna and none have worked well.

I have a candle lantern that hangs against the wall, but the candle melts in the heat and if the wick drops down the light goes out.

I have tried different flashlights and have had problems with them also. I don't want a metal bodied light because it gets too hot. Plastic lights start to melt.

I have a bucket of water in the sauna that I use for safety and to sprinkle water over the hot rocks. The other night, the light came on in my head.

I took the 4.5" plastic illuminator from my LedLenser light and attached it to an ARC AAA with some surgical hose. Now I have a light wand. I dropped the whole thing in the bucket and now I have a water cooled bucket of light.

I works great. Nice indirect light that is water cooled. I run the ARC AAA with a NiMh battery so it is guilt free illumination as well.
