Here is a thread for people who are checking the FourSevens website for updates. If this is none of my business, let me know and I will keep it to myself. I don't want to interfere with the FourSevens transition process and I wish them the best.

It seems that the FourSevens website is still being updated, even after the http://www.foursevens.com main page announcement on 12/15/17 about the closing of the FourSevens store. On 12/15/17, the http://www.foursevens.com/light-finder/search/clearance page, the "Mini Turbo Mk II Combo, 50% OFF CREE XM-L2 $30" item was sold out on 12/15/17, but I see that it has re-appeared on the clearance page today on 12/18/17. So it seems that there have been some recent changes to the inventory.

Also, between 12/15/17 and 12/18/17, when you tried to order an item, you would still see the increased number of shopping cart items in the upper-right-hand corner of the website, despite being redirected to the http://www.foursevens.com main page announcement. Now, when you try to order an item, you are redirected to the http://www.foursevens.com main page announcement, but you do not see the number of shopping cart items in the upper-right-hand corner of the website. This suggests that the website administrator is still making changes to the website as of 12/18/17.

If FourSevens plans to silently re-open their online store, they will want to stop the redirection to the http://www.foursevens.com main page during the checkout process.

On a side note, I think FourSevens would have sold more clearance items if they had notified customers of the 12/15/17 deadline. The deadline was hinted at in the "FOURSEVENS Final Announcement of 2017" YouTube video on 12/1/17 ("In the next 2 weeks we will be putting everything on deep discount") but a solid date shown on the clearance page probably would have increased sales. I hope that they plan to re-open the online store to sell their remaining inventory. If they had already sold their remaining inventory to a reseller, I would not have expected the inventory to change as it just did today (the re-appearance of the "Mini Turbo Mk II Combo"), so there still seems to be some hope that FourSevens has a non-empty warehouse.

Another possibility is that FourSevens has at least partially sold off part of its inventory to a reseller after 12/15/17. There is one eBay seller from Georgia (the same state as the FourSevens office) that apparently started at least 7 FourSevens "Buy It Now" eBay auctions on 12/17/17, which is 2 days after the closure of the FourSevens store on 12/15/17. The auctions include the stainless steel Mini Mark II's (Turbo and non-Turbo) which are being sold slightly less than the FourSevens store price (the remainder of the seller's FourSevens items are being sold at a higher price than the FourSevens store). Since the stainless steel Mini Mark II's were announced on 12/1/17, this implies that the eBay seller dealt directly with FourSevens and acquired the items at less than the advertised FourSevens website price (otherwise the seller would not make a profit). Also, in the photos for the other FourSevens auctions (from the same seller), the boxes are still covered by the layer of "Saran Wrap"-style plastic wrap that the FourSevens online store covers the plastic portion of their clamshell packages with. That implies that the eBay seller acquired the items directly from the FourSevens warehouse. This does not seem to be a standard FourSevens reseller, since the eBay seller apparently specialized on selling shoes prior to 12/17/17.

The main point for me is that FourSevens apparently did not clear out all of its inventory as it had originally planned. I am interested in buying more clearance items, which is why I periodically re-check the FourSevens website. For a very short time, the FourSevens website rewarded people who checked every hour, especially on 12/14/17, when a few very hard to find items appeared and disappered, sometimes in less than one hour. Maybe that will never happen again, but I am interested in finding out what will happen to the non-empty inventory of the FourSevens online store during this transition period.

I made an order on 12/12 and did not receive a shipping confirmation until 12/15 (and the order was also not visible in my account's order history until 12/15), and the item arrived on 12/16. If you do not receive the lights, you can open a dispute with PayPal or your credit card company to get a refund, but I think you will receive the lights this week, since the FourSevens online store has been known to be a "ship on the same day" operation in the past. From the page at http://www.foursevens.com/customerservice/ : "All orders placed on weekdays by noon Eastern Standard Time will be processed and shipped out the same day. If we need to hold your order for any reason, you will be promptly contacted via email or phone." This may be different during the holiday season (and the FourSevens transition), however.

Check out the 4foursevens picture and question thread in this forum. There is some information there posted yesterday and today which might help.

Thanks. Since the eBay seller was a FourSevens employee (as confirmed by post #673 of the "Re: The 4Sevens and FourSevens Picture and Random Question Thread"), it seems unlikely that the FourSevens online store would re-open this month and undercut the prices of his current auctions. I am wondering if he has the full remaining FourSevens inventory, or has a consignment deal, or if the remaining non-eBay inventory will be part of the asset transfer mentioned in the "FOURSEVENS Final Announcement of 2017" YouTube video on 12/1/17 ("closing down FourSevens and its assets will be purchased by someone in the industry").

Probably my favorite FourSevens design feature is the threaded aluminum (and waterproof) sleeve that fits over the micro USB recharging port of the MMR-X. I hope that they patented the feature and that it appears in the future incarnation of FourSevens flashlights. Maybe it could be incorporated into a future version of the Mini (or any flashlight smaller than the MMR-X) so that it does not require battery removal for recharging. Or maybe a future Preon/penlight could have a telescoping (or threaded) section that is waterproof when closed, but when open/extended, reveals a micro USB charging port inside.

Now it seems that on the FourSevens website, the clearance and non-clearance items are no longer visible. Maybe this thread is the online equivalent of pressing my nose against the window of a closed store until the owner saw me and closed the blinds. I wish them the best.

That is good news. My guess is that you will probably receive your items tomorrow. It is possible that they mailed the items even before they sent you the shipping confirmation (I think that happened on my own order). Congratulations on your timing.

I placed my last order on the 14th, label generated on the 18th, actually shipped on the 19th, and tracking shows here on Friday. I'm sure they're swamped, but they're moving along...

I placed my order on 12/10/17 but the paypal payment was debited on 12/19/17 (I do not understand), since the light is OOS (Out of Stock), I sent an email and I still have no answer.

I think they will still ship you the item. The items in my own order became out of stock before the order was in my account's order history (and before I received the shipping confirmation), and for 3 days after the payment, I wasn't sure whether or not the order was successfully processed. Also, I did not receive an email reply either to an email that I sent to customer support on the day of my order (12/12/17). If they charged your PayPal, that is a good sign. I don't think it would happen, especially after 12/15/17, without human intervention/attention on their side. In the worst-case scenario, you can open a dispute with PayPal to get a refund if you don't receive the item in the next 7 days. I received my items 4 days after payment, so my guess is that you might get your items this week.

Two of my orders were caught in a strange limbo. Paid for with email confirmation but then nothing more. Each time I contacted them about the issue it was resolved by creating a new order then shipping the lights. I felt it probably wasn't intentional as if someone made a similar mistake and 4/7s didn't know about it. Also the items were out of stock once corrected but they still had them. Almost like it was put aside for me but just forgotten about in limbo. I think the volume and general mayhem might have been too much in end and errors occurred.

Would this qualify for you as ... "incompetency" or something else? :)

WW offered his thoughts on the cause of the issue. :) Text is in bold for easy location.
