The large Led XHP 70 isperfectly centered at the base of the orange peel dish (which allowsa more homogeneous beam), note also the anti-reflection treatment ofthe lens

[img]https://i.imgur.com/4sm0wU0.jpg[/img]

The lens is protected by a smoothand thick bezel, which protrudes a few mm above it

Below the head, the torch bodybecomes thinner, giving the handle a shape that resembles a"parallelepiped"; but with softer features. We can dividethe handle into two areas: the area with thinner and rounded sides, completely covered with grooves that give it a good grip; the otherarea, instead, has softer grooves, which are located at the edges andin the center, the latter is perfectly positioned where thefingertips rest while holding it in your hand. As you can see fromthe photos to follow, on the torch cover there are also somewritings, such as the brand and the model. (from these photos andfrom the head, you can see how the lettering is impeccable)

UI

The UI of the torch is not difficult,in fact, just a moment to learn it. It will be enough just todistinguish the three different keys, which are; Tactical switch,Functional switch and Mode switch. Below I will indicate what thebuttons above are for: Tactical Switch = On-Off, Momentary OnFunctional switch = Change levels Mode Switch = Change Mode Below animage showing the various switches

https://i.imgur.com/d6AYJXu.jpg[/img]

Now I start by indicating whichmodes can be selected in the torch and how to do it. The Mode switchis a sort of selector ring, where a small triangle indicates whichmode is selected; the different modes are indicated by a symbol onthe side of the tailcap. Following a picture of the symbols and howthey indicate

[img]https://i.imgur.com/fSa0WJy.jpg[/img]

Block mode:

In this mode the flashlight will notturn on, but, if you press the Tactical button; the LED on theFunctional switch will light up. This will indicate that the tacticalbutton is in the ON position and will also indicate the batterystatus.

In this mode there are only 2 levels;

• Steady green = Excellent
• Flashing Green = Sufficient

BEAM AND PAINT

The XHP 70 led gives a Flood beam toour TK35 UE 2018, with a not particularly large spill and a wide butvery bright spot.
The spill, holding the torch parallelto the ground at a height of about 1 meter, starts at about 1.75meters from the tip of the feet.

Here a photo of the beam about 20 cmfrom the wall

The light color of this XHP 70 is notcool in my eyes; I would call it a chilly Neutral White.

PERSONAL OPINIONS

The FENIX TK35 UE 2018 is really wellbuilt, easy to use, integrated recharging in the carrier carrier andthe very large amount of light that emanates; make it a perfect torchfor professional uses, such as Police or Search and Rescue Forces.
Perfect to be used during work and leftin charge by day; moreover, there is the possibility to connect thecarrier to the cigarette lighter socket of the car.
It is also perfect for adventurelovers, a powerful and reliable flashlight like this is the ideal tokeep in your backpack during your excursions.
I have used it a lot in the last twoweeks, fishing, hiking etc.; and I can say that I really satisfied, the beam despite being flood, can also be used at distances not tooclose. In short, I found myself very well, and the sense of soliditythat arose when you use it; it's a very important thing for me.
As we all know, the FENIX brand issynonymous with quality and reliability; and certainly this torchwill not disappoint those who buy it.
Beyond that, the objects that comealong with the torch is really excellent.

I remind everyone that the ARB-L18batteries are not included with the torch.

STRENGTHS

• Extreme brightness
• Robustness
• IP65
• Excellent feeling during use
• Rechargeable Carrier
• Long duration in the Medium levels

DO YOU RECOMMEND?

Of course ! I would recommend it toanyone for work, hobby, fishing, hunting or camping; need a verypowerful, reliable and rechargeable flashlight via USB.
In particular I find it very good forthe Police or Search and rescue forces.

I have every TK35 but THIS one. It is very interesting UI. It is basically the same dual purpose UI the PD35TAC uses. My only pause...XHP70? Why not XHP70.2? Did Fenix manage to design a reflector that eliminates the PLUS symbol artifact of the XHP70?

Thank you for the post OP I had no idea this one was even coming out. Thumbs up!
