Hello,
My name is Eryk. I am writing reviews in Polish.
Reviews I translate – google translator.

Klarus G35 is definitely a "long-range" flashlight. Certainly we can not say that it belongs to the group of EDC flashlights, power supply with 3 * 18650 and a large reflector? These are not sizes that encourage you to wear a flashlight in your pocket.

We receive the flashlight in a "fast" packaging, which reveals content to some extent. Klarus G35 is not the most beautiful, so basically, there's nothing to brag about.
The packaging contains the most important information, including power supply, the maximum number of lumens, or a table with written modes and working time.

The packaging is quite modest, although there is nothing missing, except the flashlight itself we find:
- leash on the wrist
- spare oring

There was also a manual in English

Black shiny coating, fairly good quality during sporadic and careful use since December did not catch any scratches, etc.

A large SMO spotlight, well-centered XHP35Hi diode, only a version with a cold diode is available, to which I have no objections (in some manufacturers, unfortunately cold colors can shine on, for example, violet ...)

And a beautiful anti-reflective coating ...

The head is very massive, has cuts that should ensure good heat dissipation. On the other hand, we do not use these types of flashlights in the highest mode for a long time, but there are still security features

Klarus G35 has two buttons to control, and if it used to be unnecessary, after a few months spent with Klarus G35 and Klarus G ... (soon
ACMcAH5qAG1XAH98ANC0APjOAMyZAJmZmQAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAACH5BAUUAC4ALAAAAAAPAA8AAAabQJfQdVA0AI3BYTgkFBKo1YJS ogIzYaDFYlcGAyEpoF1FSyZifeLaVdExBMo7QVjTBhEoyjIZFAAEhcqACoYDBoDDR5 AI4XjgBgFEcQfoAoFyEAIRcXHUiMfhNqaxcRDw0KaBkGBqRdsRUKB3KtqxsoCaQQe2YOcx4bwwF JAVCBKp zBkjJGRNBQ0pHBAtKQkFZUxFR6pLQ0EAOw==
) more and more convinces me. Within the button and controller there were also ribs

The middle tube is great in the hand, notches along the flashlight and the cube-like pattern fits perfectly into the hand

At the cap, the place of assembly leashes on the wrist, while the cap itself is cut in such an ordinary, simple way

The cap conceals one more button (the latter), protrudes slightly beyond the cap itself, it may damage the button if you move the flashlight (accidentally) after something hard and rough, will not turn on the flat surface alone, but we feel a slight instability on the surface flat.
Both buttons work with a noticeable resistance, very light and precise

Very good workmanship, bolts that have to hit the cutouts in the flashlight, double springs, brass disc, I have no objections.

The thread is fleshy, the factory is very well lubricated, the fitting itself is also at a high level, although using the 3 upper links we feel a slight resistance when turning

control:
The buttons on the side and on the cap enable basically the same functions.
Single click:
- side light - switches on the flashlight in the last memorized mode
- on the screw cap - in the lowest available mode

By single clicks, we change the modes in the loop:
- Low - 10lm
- Medium - 100lm
- High - 400lm
- Turbo - 2000lm
In my opinion, there is something missing between 400 and 2000lm, such an indirect mode of 1000lm and the "Eco" or "moon" mode about 1lm (or less).

The flashlight has several hidden modes:
- flashing modes activate with no matter what button and no matter if the flashlight is off or on - with a double fast click (the first two clicks - Strobe, two more fast clicks - SOS)
- when the flashlight is turned off and hold one of the buttons, the instant TURBO mode will be activated until the button is released. Such a mode in such a flashlight is even obligatory, and here he is! :)
When the flashlight is turned off and the rear button is held, it should activate the immediate LOW mode, so they write in the instructions, my Klarus starts in the TURBO mode.

Security:
- protection against accidental switching on - we hold two buttons for a moment and wait for two flashes.
- turning off the security - we have to make 3 quick clicks, the latch will inform us about disabling the security with two flashes and it will turn off

Charge indicator:
After switching on the flashlight for 5 seconds, the LED in the side button lights up in color ... informing us about the charge status of the cell
- green 70-100% of cell batteries / a
- orange 30-70% of cell batteries / a
- red below 30% of cell batteries / a
- if the cells' charge level falls below 10%, the red LED will flash all the time.
When the cell charge is low, the flashlight will take over the modes. In this type of flashlight, I would prefer, however, 100% mode to the very end, although it may lead to damage to the unprotected cells, or cut off the power supply if the links have protection. Two approaches, two reasons, for a fraction of a second will shine stronger, but quite quickly and quickly the modes are broken down.

In addition, Klarus G35 has a great protection against too high temperature. Flashlight does not kill modes, it simply lowers the brightness. The temperature will drop - the flashlight will increase brightness. The protection itself is very preventive, according to my laser thermometer it is 45-50 ° C

Some of you have rightly noticed one sticker in red. We can power the flashlight from 3 * 18650 or from 1 * 18650. Unfortunately, links such as: Samsung 30Q are too short, minimum Sanyo NCR18650GA with a slightly protruding plus, although it is loose inside, but it is an emergency ...

The test in the highest mode with fan cooling and one cell Samsung INR18650-35E, I do not know if the flashlight reaches a full 2000lm, it may not be, because the 3 * 18650 power supply is brighter, but the difference is not huge. Cell voltage at the end of the test: 3.1V

It was interesting when I put in three links. I expected an almost straight graph for at least 1 hour. After 90 minutes of the test, it turns out that only 2 of the 3 cells were discharged. Their voltage at the end of the test was about 3.55V while the third link was 4.2V. I have no idea what this state of affairs is due to. I carried out the test several times.
I do not know if the driver is damaged? I would like to add that after inserting the cell and first switching it on using the side button, the torch always starts in the highest mode.
When one cell is inserted it starts normally. When I put in three links, there is one quick flash at the start.
I am afraid that my copy unfortunately has a disadvantage, which is a pity because the G35 is a very nice flashlight.

Klarus G35 is not one of the smallest

Even next to not so small EAGTAC S25L-R or Nitecore EC4 looks big

Field shots, camera settings ISO-200, f / 2, 1s, white balance - Fluorescent H
The conditions did not allow me to take a picture at a distance of about 1km, according to my tests 600-700m is a real range, with only 1km light white objects. I made the pictures "out of the hand", in fact the difference in favor of Klarus G35 is noticeable and the photos on which Klarus shines considerably less, result from some mistakes when taking pictures.

A few words of summary.
Klarus G35 is a typical thrower. Range of about 700m (declared 1km for bright objects), 2000lm with good efficiency, although with the supply of 3 * 18650 could have been better. Good performance, simple control and the whole enclosed in a cool, compact housing, the flashlight would be really recommendable if not for the problem with the controller.
I hope I am an isolated case, I will write to Klarus, I am curious about his reaction.
Can I recommend it? As much as possible, provided that such a problem as in my copy is an exception, the more so that in the case of Klarus, the price / quality ratio is usually positive:)

Eric

THANK YOU VERY MUCH! This light caught my attention and the price <$100 looks tempting. I see it would not be the easiest light to carry ALL THE TIME. But if on a mission specific task, this size is very easy to belt carry. 1000 yard/meter throw is impressive.

Thankyou for the very good review Eric. It was interesting to me, with good pics also.
My Klarus G35 has an ever so slightly off centered XHP35 within the black square cutout
Of the surround. It does not appear to make any real difference to the beam, apart from up close
where a slight artifact is noticible in the spill.
I dont believe your driver is faulty. Mine does exactly the same thing, and according to others, it is
how the light operates. When nearing exhaustion of the two main cells, it then switches to the single cell,
and continues to operate at a reduced output. I dont know why Klarus went this way, but it is how it is. Note
the unused cell comes from the red slot, same one as the light operates with only one cell. Maybe they regard
it as a ' feature ', but why not use all three cells together and have a low voltage warning of some sort?
It is a nice mid sized thrower light regardless of the little quirks it has.

:)
