I am designing a product for diving applications and I'm wondering if anyone knows where I can buy an empty waterproof enclosure, like a flashlight but without the internal bits, for testing some prototypes.

Or is it easier to just buy a dive flashlight and remove the guts? Any ideas on cheap lights submersible to 150m+?

Or go to the local home center and pick up the necessary PVC plumbing parts. That way you get to choose the size.

If you want fancier than that, check some of the threads on building battery canisters.

My experience with cheap lights is that they are not very reliably waterproof. If you really want to go beyond 150m, I doubt any of them would hold up.
