A while ago I got my wife a lighter with 3x 3mm LEDs in it (red,blue and yellow) off ebay. The yellow was lame so I swapped it for a green. well, it got lost for a while and was just found. The RGB LEDs were nice, bright, and colorful, but not really practical. MOD time. well, just a quick one. I pulled out the LEDs, filled two of the holes with JBWeld and put a white 3mm in the middle hole.
The previous occupants had 100ohm resistors on them, to even out the color. I am amazed at the brightness of this cheapie 3mm running DD on 3 small button cells.
At least now it is a little more usefull.
