What lens is this?

What lens comes with the Star/O Luxeon? I thought it was the NX05 until I ordered some NX05's from the Sandwich Shop.

Left is the lens from the Star/O. The front surface is convoluted.
Right is the NX05 from SShop. Front surface is plano.

They have slightly different beam shapes, I haven't had much time to investigate.

Anyone hazzard a guess?

My guess is the NX-01- the pics aren't clear enough to be sure.

Yea I guess its got to be an nx01. Lumiled's earlier optic.
The Fraen LP looks a bit similar but i doubt they come with the star.

I'm also guessing the acrylic optic you received with your LS/O is a NX01 optic.
I'm not a full expert here (just a partial one), so please take my statement with large amounts of crystalline sodium chloride.

Left looks like a Fraen LP (and I mean REALLY looks like it) and the right looks like a nx05 (could be a nx01 but I never had one)

It is a NX-01.

yup you definitely got yourself a NX-01, which is my favorite optic for it's size category. Originally designed for LDs but they work great with HDs. I actually prefer them over Fraen-LPs.
