Hya there,

The subj basically it is. What's the book worth buying if I want to get started on basic electronics /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif I've found electronic turtorials which recommends few things, but I'd like to get more info here. Books, useful links, tips and hints, all are higly appreciated.

"The Art of Electronics" by Horowitz and Hill is an all-time classic, intro-to-middle-level college EE textbook. Tons of practical stuff. It may be more than you need for making flashlights though. (Edit:) Hey, it has a web site:

In the old days I liked "How to become a Radio Amateur" published by the ARRL (www.arrl.org). It's how I got started. I don't know if it's still in print. "Understanding Amateur Radio" by the same publisher was somewhat more advanced.
