My wife would like a "nightstand" flashlight with a nice GITD (Glow in the Dark) bezel.
I have one with a GITD "O" ring, but that isn't enough, she wants one where the bezel or a ring on the bezel gets charged each time she uses the light.

I found a couple of cheap plastic junk ones, but nothing that -I- would buy (insert flashlight snob sneer here LOL)

Another option is an illuminated switch boot. Better than GITD and tritium in my opinion, which both degrade over time. Only maker selling the illuminated clicky that I know of is Randy at PFlexPro. I have a couple of lights with them. Once your eyes are adjusted, it's bright enough to read with at very close range, but doesn't cast enough light to distract when you're sleeping. Bright enough to easily locate when you just wake up and are grabbing at your nightstand. Parasitic drain is VERY low. After 3 months, I can't detect any change in voltage using the lights' built-in voltage feature.

Not a bad idea but she complains about the switch-light on my BLF-Q8 and makes me put it in a drawer
(LOL)

The glow in the dark O rings that Oveready use are very effective. Once charged they last all night (cue Viagra joke here).
I think Oveready make thier own, but it might be worth a look.

Some flashlights can be modded to include a glow sticker or epoxy around the light engine.

Since this provides a much larger area than an O-ring, it can be a lot brighter.

Maybe I can get a better picture later, but you can perhaps barely see this at the base of the emitter, on the lower torch, here ...

Perhaps not ideal but what about a flashlight with locator feature?

I currently use Fitorch MR35 for a night stand, the side switch will blink slowly (pretty dim) every few seconds.

How about some Military GITD tape wrapped around the bezel?
If it's just a nightstand light it'll last a good while before it needs replacing.
I found mine on Ebay.

How about a zebralight, something like the SC64c. Program it one click on, the sub level .05 lumens (double click), which is basically a dim glow that lasts for months.
