I haven't sold but I was asked to sell mine several times. You can either set up a page with this domain is for sale page or sit and wait till someoen comes asking. Whois will give your contact email to anyone who's interested, granted that your contact email is correct in host name db.

If you mean you have a domain and an interested buyer, you can just do a deal with the buyer, you don't need to "use" any intermediary.

If you have a domain for sale and you want to find a buyer for it, you can list it on Ebay, which has a category just for domains.

If you have a domain that you want to use for yourself and you don't want to sell it, but someone is trying to buy it from you anyway, BE CAREFUL. There are a lot of traps in this situation and you can end up losing your domain with no compensation if you make an incorrect move. Better talk to a specialist.

paulr,

I'm thinking of trying to sell my domain ..... I know it sounds funny. It probably isn't worth a plug nickel. But it could be fun, and what the hey, why not?

I know exactly what your saying about being careful. Do you know of any reputable places that do this?

Thanks,
Mike

If you want to sell your domain, that's less tricky, unless there's a trademark.

What's the domain? If it's funny-sounding, it's probably worth something.

paulr,

It's nothing special, it's mikeshelp.com and mikeshelp.net. I figure it's been around for awhile and might be worth something. I get some nice traffic, but since I left Internet technical support I don't do much with it anymore. Pretty much I leave it up for people I know who use it.

Anyhow, if there is a remote possibility of getting something for it, I'd sell it rather than just giving it up by letting it expire.
