Yes, I guess a XML and an 18650 will be next, along with a lot of spare parts. LOL.

21700 would probably work just as well
I haven't been keeping up with anything so I'm not sure which rute would be better

I would like a (2) 21700 cell option. I just sucked a pair of 18650's almost dry tonight when out in the woods/swamp and I also was using 3 other lights! I have spare cells for every light I own, but I don't take or need them that close to home. In fact, I am okay with just carrying 2 extra 18650 cells with me per light on extended outings, and then maybe throw in a dozen or so SF123A cells for good measure.

I am liking the Hound Dog Super Neutral more and more. The rings don't bother me like they used to. After using 3 different 4000K Malkoffs tonight, then using a 5000K Emisar D4 XPL-HI V3, it just looked bluish to me.

I am liking the warmer tints, and if it wasn't for the fact that I like to see into the distance, for people and wildlife. I could navigate with a M61N MD2 just fine, but I like to see further than either that or what the WCV6 can do.

2x21700s would be awesome. I think we would all benefit from a 21700 version of both MD2, and MD4 bodies.

@tuelleric and @CREEXHP70LED: thank you guys for the info on HD Super size! I think I didn't receive a notification, otherwise I would have replied.

    Friends,

I have a Malkoff Hound Dog Super with the MD4 (2 x 18650 batteries) and want to add a third but I'm having trouble finding the part # for the extension. Can anyone provide a link/part # or is this a third party supplier where I need to get the extension?

    Thanks!

Peter's shopping list:- HDS / Oveready 170N Exec/LE and an Oveready V4 Nichia Drop In. Otherwise I'm content. Want want want, that's me.

Thanks Peter - just found it!

    Another question,

For those running 3 x 18650s have any long term problems come out from running slightly over the 12 volt limit (3 x 18650s would be 4.2 x 3 = 12.6 volts)? I'm going to call Gene in a few and verify that this won't risk the reliability of my light. I've got a backup Hound Dog XML but would hate to ruin a light.

Also, with the 3 x 18650 configuration, can anyone comment on increased run time performance and brightness?

Just spent some time reading through this entire thread and found lots of good info!

    Thanks!
