How many lumens does the sun produce?

I thought about posting this in the Incandescent forum, since "the sun is a mass of incandescent gas," but decided against it.

I was describing a flashlight mod to a non-flashaholic friend of mine (despite his protestations) and he exclaimed that it must be like looking into the sun. Of course the brightness you see looking directly at the sun would only be a lux reading, but it led me to wonder what the lumen count would be. It might be hard to fit the sun into an integrated sphere, but I imagine somebody has figured out the lumens.

Thanks for the quick answers and sorry for the redundant question. The cool offshoot is that a 75k lux flashlight really is like looking into the sun.
