What problems, if any, would occur to use 9600 mAh 18650's in an LED Flashlight vs the 2200 mAh 18650's that came with it? Both sets of 18650's are 3.7V, and thanks for any help.

There are no single cell 18650s that have a capacity of 9600mAh. If you have a cell that claims to have 9600mAh on its wrapper, it's a 'con job' and should be handled with skepticism, or just not used altogether, without proper vetting.

Do you know about all of those houses that blew up in Boston today?

Run, run fast and far away.

Junker, but post a picture, so we can all have a good laugh.

Seriously, that sounds like one of the cheap cells that we all try and stay away from.

The word 'cheap' and 'lithium-ion anything,' should never go together.

Maybe the 9600 is the combined mah total for all 4 batteries which makes each cell 2400mah.

Contact the major electronic vehicle manufacturers! Sounds like they can immediately produce inexpensive cars that will go 1000 miles on a single charge. This is a HUGE breakthrough!!!

i will pursue a maximum 3600 mAh to supplement what I have. What MFG's appear to be the most reliable/dependable?

Here is the link to the considered 18650's…

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07FMCS8P6/?tag=cpf0b6-20

Please don't buy those. They are unsafe. The 9600mah is fake. You can buy good batteries for not much more than that. Liion wholesale is a good place to start. Mtnelectronics is another. Skylumen. Several options out there, just please don't buy those. If you value your home or your fingers or your family

As mentioned, the claimed capacity is almost 3 times greater than what is possible with current technology. This is common for cheap no-name generic cells. Not only is the capacity exaggerated by a factor of 10 or more, but the poor quality makes them much, much higher safety risks.

For example, if you search for other "9800mAh" 18650s on Amazon you find the highest rated is this 6PCS 3.7V 9800mAh 18650 Batteries Rechargeable Li-ion Battery and Universal Charger It is rated 3.3/5 stars with 58 reviews. Perusing the 38% 1-star reviews we find one titled "Fake, Fake, Fake - tested at 800mAh to 1100 mAh", and another reports "Within 30 days, the first set of batteries would no longer take a charge" and another says "Battery caught fire and exploded while in charger and burned the carpet in my room after catching fire" (photo below).

To avoid such, use only cells from top-tier manufacturers (Panasonic, Sanyo, Samsung, LG, Sony)

I went ahead and asked if these were not really 4 2450 mah batteries that ADD UP to 9800 when you use ALL 4 together. If you read the wording, it does hint toward that.

I think that you're reaching, but my girl is an OSU grad and I went to Eskimo Joe's in July, so I'm going to cut him some slack.
