Wall mount?

I recently picked up a maglite ml50l that is going to live by the door and will be used when taking the dogs out. I'm looking for a way to mount it to the wall. I have seen the mounts made by maglite but they seem to break easily. I have no problem using a tool holder or something along those lines but it can't be big or ugly. If it were up to me I'd just use pvc but the wife wouldn't go for that.

Any suggestions?

I assume you've seen these?
Are these too ugly?

Sorry just seen that they break, forget I spoke.
You may find a similar thing made for boats, to stow oars and stuff. they're probably more robust.

Simple, sturdy, effective. This older 3-D battery Maglite has been hanging top of the basement stairs for longer than I can remember, the last 7 or 8 years with a Malkoff LED drop-in. The company, while still in business, no longer makes these. If you are handy seems it would be fairly simple to make.
