Lowering factory boost or new driver woth new led is the only choice. Funny thing is center led look underpowered from factory yet smoking is a sign of too much current...

70SD is way better tint. Look at the roof and ground, all were greenish with 70.2SD.
I think 70.2SD is clearer on trees not because of the tint alone, it is also because of higher output.

Vinh convinced me to switch from the Acebeam X70.2vnSD to the Acebeam X70vnSD, for the same reasons mentioned by DENGOH plus a couple others.

Those that ordered 70 shaved Dome will be fulfill but I will not make more as this option is not cost and labor effective for me.

I received my Acebeam X70vn with 70 SD a few days ago.

It is very impressive, as expected, but due to bad weather I couldn't take it to an area large enough to show its true power until yesterday night. Then it showed how impressive it really is.

I can't wait until we have an LED thrower with more than 50,000 lumens and over 1 Mcd.

The only problem I have noticed is that my fan handle drains a fully-charged 18650 battery to around 0% in 2 days or so. The first time, I thought I had left the fan on. The second time it happened, I knew the fan was off. Unfortunately, you can't stop the drain by unscrewing the tail cap slightly; the battery must be removed before the fan stops. Has anyone else encountered this battery drain problem?

X70 is a Excellent built light inside out!

    70.2 Shave Dome Tips
Take away about 10 thin slice to reduce surface tension which can crack the dome spontaneously.
Be smooth with follow through with blade parallel to slicing plane
    Push blade not saw blade
Replace blades when action is sticking
Use a new blade to do the final slice
Start at corner of LED to reduce tension
    Clean blase every other slice
Use a washer or the likes to prevent cutting too low damaging the phosphorus

Mix XHP70.2 SD and XHP70 SD for a cooler neutral tint ;-)

Very interesting. Thanks for the pics. Seems like it would be easy to swap the center with a 20mm MCPCB w/ XHP70.2.

Did a custom order for a customer and I found 6 70.2 + 6 70SD = nice 5000-5500K tint for those that want to mitigate the blue and purple but keep the tint cooler neutral with no yellow/brown. I like this option too!
Need to try 70.2 in the center now. This finish off what I consider a crazy bargain for $$$ to lumen value.

Just ordered my Spec 3 cannot wait to try it out at the ranch in NM where it is flat and very dark S/E of Carlsbad... The tint on the Spec 3 will work great with the almost white colors of the high almost desert area.

LOL: Took the newly arrived X70vn SD out for its first run on a walk to my lounge. "Moonlight" mode is great for walking with it slung over shoulder, nice flood lights the way, thrower spot gives a nice "what's over there" capability.

Then I Turbo'd it. Frau laughed. I laughed. Then a car screeched to a halt, guy leans out window to ask "Whoa - what kind of flashlight is that?!?!?!".

    Neat light! Thanks Vinh!

Its a hard decision the more I look at it. 40k 3000L is not super impressive for a light this size, and 150k1800L is not stellar so I guess it would come down to which version has the best beam profile. I personally would ask Vinh which one is more balanced. If the color of the flood and throw are almoat identical then its a matter of how much more throw you want.

Too bad only 3,000 lumens. Would be good if it can get to 5000lumens for the center one
