Hi all, the stock ologht batteries seem to suck really bad. I'm looking for a good 26650 cell that will give me a good run time. I'm thinking of the flat top Shockli 26650 IMR 5500mAh. Anyone have advise for other good alternatives?

I have the Shockli 26650 for mine and they worked perfect in this light. You just won't be able to charge it in the light if you have the Pro version.

Which ones specifically? Could you send a link? Do you find the olight batts it comes with kinda suck?

I got mine at Mountain Electronics. I just checked and they are sold out.

My battery says Shockli 5500mah IMR 26650 3.7v on it. It's an unprotected cell.

And yes, there was a known issue with the Olight batteries. If you contact them they were pretty generous with their warranty in the past. I had a defective one and they sent me out a new one no hassle.

I think its better to use a protected battery in this light, i would try look for a
Keeppower 26650 5200mAh (protected)

I tried fit the keeppower 6000mah protected but its a bit too big even if its a tight fit its better not use that one.

Any reputable dealers that have this?

Just had another batch of olight 26650 die, thought they had fixed the issues, but guess not. Will have to give another brand a try, or switch flashlight brand to something better.
