Well, they'll certainly never be lonely!

I wonder if it was just a genetic malformaton or perhaps due to environmental conditions. If environmental, I'd think they'd be finding more occurances, eh?

I edited the post to include the link to the story & more pics. I just forgot to include that.

The story said a biologist stated that the embryo could have been damaged. Hmm...I'm no biologist, but that sounds good to me.

Well if that's not a tragedy of nature I don't know what is. Surprising they have survived to this point.

It looks like it was doing ok...seems well fed, I would have thought that it would have had a hard time finding food and avoiding predetors.
