OLIGHT cracked TIR

This is my first nice flashlight so I'm not sure if this is normal. I bought the S1R about a week ago and just noticed this today. There are some hairline cracks in the TIR near the bezel around 60% of the diameter. I don't remember seeing this when I first received the light out of the box. The light has not seen hard use. Just have used it around the house and it hasn't been dropped. I did use the turbo setting the other day to see how bright it was and noticed the body starting to get hot and then shut it off.

I've attached a photo showing the cracks.

Is this cracking normal? Or is this defective?
