Ive just got hold of a LUX229 Led headtorch and its great it has 9 LED's and runs from 2 AA cells and has a power supply built into it to keep the leds going until the batteries are nearly flat. they have a web site at www.luxbrite.com
only seem to be available in the uk
they also do a great conversion for the Petzl Duo.
