This is my first post here. Interesting forums.

I have two CANDOIL lanterns. They use lamp oil and are for backpacking, canoeing or car camping. For winter camping I have found even one CANDOIL lantern heats up a 2 or 3 person double wall tent nicely in very cold (0 F.) weather. Now I mainly keep them filled and ready for emergency home lighting. And I keep a gallon jug of candle oil in an outside storage cabinet.

1. CANDOIL conversion for collapsable backpacking candle lantern
2. stand-alone CANDOIL lantern with a small glass mantle and stainless steel oil container.

From what I gather CANDIOIL is long ago out of business.
